THE RIVER SILE
on foot, by bike or by boat
The Sile Natural Park offers the chance of getting to know the territory through which this resurging river (the longest of its kind in Italy) flows, winding through towns and countryside from its source all the way to the seaside town of Jesolo. The territorial importance of this river from the Middle Ages onwards can be seen in the numerous mills along its course.
Departing from Casale sul Sile, a few kilometres outside Treviso, one can embark on a splendid sailing trip taking you from the mainland to the Venice lagoon or around the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello.
